Don't Blink!

For those of you who think the Big East is just a basketball conference, I have some delightful news for you. The Big East is showing strong signs that they deserve some football love as well as basketball love with the strong, dominate play of it's powerhouse teams and some up and coming teams.
West Virginia, who is still looking for some more love for going into the heart of the SEC and beating Georgia (sorry Matt!), looks like it is on the right path to the championship with it's tune up games. Now, the test begins with a little more challenging part to their schedule leading up to the show down with Louisville on Nov 2.
Louisville as been coasting as well heading in to it's game with Miami at home. Even wtih the loss of Michael Bush, Louisville's rushing game has appeared not to have lossed a step in it's two dominating performances. And don't forget the play of Brain Brohm as he comes off an injury year.
Rutgers is coming of a Bowl year and has looked real impressive so far with its win over an ACC school and a Big Ten school. With a little luck and a continuation of it's strong play, they could steal the Big East title right from under WVU's or UL's noses.
Pitt had a strong recruiting class last year and will soon be in the mix of the things in a year or sooner.
If you look at history, you could say the Big East has become what the ACC used to be before and after Florida State joined their league. They had one real good team, and then you had some good programs who could beat you. The Big East has two real good teams, and a couple of programs who will beat you.
As the season progress, teams will find out who they really are. And the Big East will be there in the mix of things. Will they finally get some love? Just remember one thing; a Big East team has Sugar Bowl Champions in it's resume.
