NFL Picks for Week 8

If you have been following our picks for any length of time, or are new to our feeble attempts at football prognostication, a rare spectacle happened on Saturday…Kyle picked more games correctly than Matt. While this unfortunate event has left Matt stunned he has vowed to return the favor with a sound thrashing in the NFL. After a late night conversation, they realized that they differed on only 2 picks. After such an embarrassing showing on Saturday Matt has made some adjustments and decided to risk his overall lead. He has re-picked his winners in order to distance himself further from Kyle or allow him to catch up. So without any further delay, here are the picks and current records.

NFL picks and thoughts from Saturday

With another Saturday of football behind us I am forced to fight through my current impairment and post our NFL picks. First I want to get a few things off my chest:

1. Auburn proved that they were not worthy of such a lofty ranking and the SEC is the most dangerous conference in college football.
2. Florida is good...but LSU gave away the game. So many turnovers in such a crutial game cost the Tigers
3. Michigan should be the number 2 team in the nation. No argument. Tough schedule. Convincing wins.
4. Georgia was neither as good as they played the first half, nor as bad as they played the second half. They were beat by a better team and superior players. Perhaps this will shut up all of the bandwagon fans proclaiming the greatness of the DAWGS. This was and will continue to be a reloading year. No SEC title and a mid-level bowl berth. That is what should have been expected from the first snap. Look for 2-3 more losses this year. While last nght will prove to be more the exception than the rule Georgia fans need not make reservations in Atlanta.

Kyle 46-40 (.535)
Matt 53-33 (.616)

Washington +4.5 @ New York (N)
Giants –4.5

Memo to My Beloved Dolphins

To: Nick Saban
From: DaymanHammett

You guys suck! How much more conservative can you guys be? If Daunte is really hurt, or your trust in the offensive line is shakey at best, then I suggest you try to shake things up. I have seen more aggressive play calling in Pop Warner leaugues. Put Joey in or not. More trick plays or not. But you have to do something. The team play is as half-hearted as the replay flag throw you did against Pittsburgh on opening night. If this type of play keeps up, you'll find yourselves sent down to Division II.

Sincerely,
Dman
